Rutita del Tuna at Chatham Counterguard
01 Jul - 03 Jul
Schedule
From 3rd Jun to 5th Jul
Join us as we celebrate 10 years of the Mario Finlayson National Art Gallery—a decade of preserving and showcasing Gibraltar’s artistic heritage.
The Gallery reopens on Tuesday 3rd June at the historic City Hall, with a refreshed exhibition featuring new acquisitions and, for the first time, works by internationally acclaimed Gibraltarian artist Christian Hook. As the seventh artist now represented, Hook joins the ranks of Mario Finlayson, Gustavo Bacarisas, Elio Cruz, Jacobo Azagury, Rudesindo Mannia, and Leni Mifsud.
To mark this milestone, we invite you to a fireside chat on Thursday 5th June at 6:30pm, chaired by journalist Alice Mascarenhas, exploring the legacy of Mario Finlayson. Expect an evening of reflection, conversation, and insight. Tickets available at buytickets.gi.
Celebrate with us on Calentita Night—Friday 20th June, with a late-night opening (7pm–10pm), offering the chance to experience the new curation in a vibrant, festive setting. Then, bring the whole family to our Family Open Day on Saturday 5th July, with storytelling and life drawing sessions designed to engage younger audiences. Book your spots at buytickets.gi.
We’re also launching new school workshops, exploring street art and postcard-making, alongside enhanced visitor resources—from QR codes to children’s activities and a refreshed Gift Shop.
Be part of this special chapter. Celebrate with us, learn with us, and rediscover the art that defines Gibraltar.
